Thunderbird Reply Cursor

Apparently, it is bothering a lot of people that Mozilla didn’t think to make the default cursor position above the quoted email. Here is how to fix it, as found at Phil’s Blog:

In Thunderbird:

  1. Under "Edit"
  2. Go to "Account Settings"
  3. Select "Composition & Addressing" for the account in question
  4. Check the checkbox in the Composition group that says "Automatically quote the original message when replying".
  5. Once the combo box below is enabled select the option "Start my reply above the quote"

hi,

i got this fine, but i use a signature as well…

how come when i select put signature at top, ABOVE quote and BELOW the reply, it insists on putting the signature BELOW everything?
