About Me

Well if you’ve clicked this link, then you were looking for information about who Trey is. I’m Trey Cranson, born and raised in Houston, TX. After several years of restaurant management, I decided to turn my hobby of computers and web page design into a full-fledged career. I started off doing small design work and content maintenance before picking up larger design tasks, and web development using ASP and PHP. In 2001, I started my own company, Core Web Technology, Inc., with the help of my long-time friend Steven Bates. He has since moved on, but I remain and business is doing well.

In my spare time, I like to:

  • mess with computers (building and configuring)
  • play with gadgets like HDTV tuner, MP3 Players (portable, home, and car)
  • toy with latest software/applications (i.e. Ubuntu Linux, BackPackIt.com, GMail.com, Bloglines.com, Last.fm)

My current development environment:

  • Mac OS X for just about everything (using Smultron, Transmit, Photoshop, Flash)
  • Ubuntu Linux for testing and remaining fresh in the Linux world.

My notable gadgets:

  • Apple 16GB iPod Touch
  • 2x Apple 20GB iPod Photo
  • 80-Hour Series2 Tivo
  • 42″ Magnavox LCD HDTV
  • Samsung SIR-T451 HDTV Tuner with SR15 Terrestrial Antenna
  • 3x Philips DVP-642 Divx DVD Players
  • Philips DVP-5960 Divx DVD Player
